To our Camp Kirk Community,
It is with sadness that we share the news that Sean will be leaving as Camp Director due to health issues. I know Sean did not make this decision lightly as Camp Kirk holds a very special place in his heart. He has truly enjoyed watching former campers become staff members, working with families, and seeing all of the incredible work from staff that goes into fostering the strengths of our amazing campers. Sean truly embraced the spirit of Camp Kirk, whether it was belting out favourite camp tunes or bringing fun and silliness that build forever memories for our campers and staff alike
Sean will be staying with Camp Kirk until the end of December to support Claire, our Assistant Camp Director, in camper and staff applications and providing that continuity of care for our families. In addition, Erica will be coming back part time to support our camp program, transition the new Camp Director and be there as a resource throughout the summer. With Claire and Erica’s extensive knowledge of Camp Kirk and our campers, we know that we will provide the high level of care our families deserve and preserve the heart and soul of Camp Kirk.
Along with our Development Director, Tara, Board of Directors and myself, we are in a strong position to lead this incredible organization and ensure that Camp Kirk continues to thrive.
I know how connected and passionate our Camp Kirk community is so if you can help spread the word about the new Camp Director role, we would be grateful.
