Working at Camp Kirk

Camp Kirk is a small residential (overnight) summer camp for children who have Learning Disabilities, AD/HD, High Functioning Autism, and/or other types of exceptionalities.

We strive to empower our campers and raise self-esteem by providing a supportive, nurturing, and non- competitive environment.

Camp Kirk has a family style atmosphere that is nurturing and supportive for both the campers and staff.

There is little space for "super egos" and "super stars", but lots of room for positive and caring individuals who are strong team players. Camp Kirk staff work as a team to ensure the physical and emotional safety of the campers. The staff sets the tone of the camp and sends the message to the children that they are in a supportive environment where they are free to be themselves and take risks.

These are no small tasks that the staff achieve each summer, and working at Camp Kirk may be challenging at times. However, we strive to provide our staff with the support and guidance they need to feel confident and empowered to support the needs of our campers. For this reason, there is no doubt that a summer at Camp Kirk can be an extremely rewarding experience.

Please Note: Camp Kirk welcomes and encourages applications from people with disabilities. Accommodations are available on request for candidates taking part in all aspects of the selection process.
